Joe Fafard (1942–2019) was one of Canada’s most celebrated sculptors, renowned for his evocative depictions of rural life, animals, and portraiture. A pioneer of contemporary Canadian sculpture, he is celebrated for his work’s warmth, humour, and extraordinary sensitivity to form.  

Our posthumously cast goats emphasize the beauty of Fafard’s expressive modelling and surface. Cast from the artist’s original mould, these two bronzes preserve the immediacy and character that have made Fafard’s sculptures enduring favourites among collectors and institutions alike.
